Game a Triple Changer Plays

Transformers Animated Fanfiction by Jasmine Lewis.

Some bots had wondered, very few knew, how Blitzwing gained his three faces. None cared to ask and those that did know said nothing. It was an incident of the past and one not kindly remembered. Especially not by the triple changer himself. In the processors of his three minds lies a burning wish for revenge on the bots who inflicted upon him a grief he never wanted.
It seems the vent was forgotten, then Megatron makes a deal with Black Arachnia which leads Blitzwing into becoming more then a triple changer. Into the tussle Prowl finds himself pulled followed by another ninja and certain friends. Their hatred for Decepticon and Autobot is thrown aside and they find themselves banding together against a common foe. At long last Blitzwing may yet get his revenge....

Chapter One
Prowl was scared. He could sense nothing but a wave of darkness from all around him. The floor was cold steel and made his body ache from the constant contact. How long had it been? Two sun cycles? More? He couldn’t tell. All he did know was that he was afraid, and for good reason. Dull tramping echoes throbbed out from the bare walls surrounding him. Each one was faint and seemed to move in a circle about him as if the bots they came from were processing around the chamber he was held in. By the time the noises reached their starting point they were only loud enough for him to barely pick up. They could not even count as sounds any longer. No rational purpose seemed to set them off but despite this they rang out on a timed basis and Prowl found he had started to count the intervals between each. He would always wait close to one hour and each time, sure enough, the noises would start.
He tried to explore between the episodes of sound. The attempt though left him panting and prone on the cold ground minutes into the effort. Some kind of magnetic beam that sapped his energy levels and left him running on the lowest settings was in play. Giving up the attempt to learn more about where he was, the Ninja simply fell back and leaned against the wall panting. His intakes throbbed from the exertion he’d put them through and his body shook in unison. There was nothing to do but wait.
Wait he did.
Time racked by and became nothing but the predictable clattering of sound outside his holding chamber once each hour. It told him he’d been there at least twenty hours since he’d come back online and there was a good chance it had been longer than that. He’d drifted in and out of recharge several times already. With the energy sapping beam focused on him, the urge to lean back and sleep was nearly unavoidable and he’d succumbed to it more than once.
He was in fact falling into recharge at the moment when a sudden clattering of noise brought him harshly into reality. Jolting upright against the wall he turned his head trying to focus on where the noise was coming from.
Oaths and yelling rang out several times before the grating of doors opening reached his audios. Prowl scrambled to his peds and instantly fell into a fighting stance. Cold air whipped across his faceplates and light scored his visor. Immediately after there was the loud crash of a massive body thudding against the holding room floor. Prowl hesitated a split second to be sure he was not about to stagger into the new object before hurling himself at the open entrance. One servo collided hard with a strange bot’s armor and a startled cry was his reward. Instantly drawing up his knees he planted one black ped on the bot’s chest and launched off of it. Air whistled through his audios as he summersaulted over the being. The floor rushed up to meet him and he extended another ped. Body rolling he transformed two wheels churning to full speed as dust and debris exploded into the air behind him.
Cries and snarls of anger were ringing out behind him as he turned hard and skidded off down what seemed to be a long hallway even as the sapping draw on his energy died. Behind echoed the wild thundering of bots coming after him in pursuit. Revving his engine hard he thrust on the gas. The noise behind began to dim out as he skidded and sped mindlessly around corners and junctions. Suddenly a long object randomly struck hard and unexpectedly into his front tire. Caught completely off guard and already unbalanced by his headlong dash Prowl exploded up into the air doing a wild series of flips right after a loud shrieking of tires on steel armor. Then the sickening crunch of his slender body being knocked right out of alt mode and into a steel wall. The scream of a bot in pain filled the air for a moment along with the echoes of the cry shrilly distributed along the entire strange building. It was not Prowl who’d screamed.
Coughing and gasping he dragged himself to his knees. One servo was pressed to his scraped chassis the other supporting him against the ground. A ragged moan broke from Prowl and he felt his body shake as his systems whined in protest from the strain of recovering after such a harsh collision. Energon still boiled wildly through his form and several scratches bled with the pinkish liquid. He stayed still waiting a few minutes to recover before standing. Suddenly though a voice verbally knocked him to his peds and backwards from the unexpected shock of it speaking nearby.
“Autobot, vease helvp me!”
Staggering back another pace Prowl tightened his hold on his dented chassis. “Who, who are you?” He shook his helm. “Wait….I know that accent, Blitzing?”
“Ves! Vase helvp me, get me zout of vis vague!”
“What?” Prowl did not realize he had been edging forwards until a servo clamped about his arm. With a yelp of surprise he leapt away but could not break loose. The fingers clutching him tightened to the point where they were leaving a dent. Crying out in pain as his sensors lanced a signal to his processor Prowl brought down his ridged, free servo on the triple changer’s arm. Blitzing gasped as the blow temporarily short circuited the receptors in his wrist. Prowl leapt away in the moment and slammed his back up against the opposite wall.
“Vease Autobot!” Blitzing cried out.
“You are a Deceptic…” Prowl stopped short as he heard a grating of steel. Listening closer he realized that Blitzing was dragging himself closer to the front of the cell. The scraping was the notice of his wings against the concrete. The sizzle of sparks flaring caught his attention. “What happened to you?”
“Zese vbots attacked me! Vase helvp me!”
So I’m not being chased by Decepticons. They would not imprison Blitzwing like this. Megatron only does that to Starscream. “Why should I help you?” Prowl challenged.
“I can vet you vout of vere,” Blitzwing coughed raggedly a desperate note to his forced words. His breathing was becoming a nasty rasp.
That was all the encouragement Prowl needed. Reaching forewords he let his hands fly over the cell’s front till he discovered the lock. Grasping it tight he gritted his dental plates and tore away the cover panel. Wires sparked bursting from their caging with a crackle. Grabbing random ends he started to jam them together twisting aside the ones that did not work. The noise of pursuit was getting louder then. Ped falls rang out. Bots were yelling and one voice easily rose above them all. It was a shrill screeching tone and very familiar. Distracted as he was Prowl half noted that he knew the voice but tossed it aside. He slammed two more wire ends together. Duds. He grabbed another two and plugged them in. There was a sharp sizzle followed by the zap of the energy bars evaporating.
“Come on!” he yelled transforming.
Crash!
Debris took to the air as Blitzwing literally smashed out the side pillar of the cell. Concrete and steel flew. Prowl launched himself to the side coming out of alt mode with a yelp.
“What are you doing?” he snarled.
“Stasis cuffs!” Metal groaned and tore free of its restraints as again the triple changer rammed his hands against the reinforced walls. Dust was everywhere and sharp debris scored through the ar. One cut Prowl’s cheek and energon bubbled out. Dodging fast the ninja grabbed the large bot by the back of his belt.
“Stop! You’re telling everyone where we are! We have to get out of here now!”
Blitzwing ignored him and kept slugging his servo’s against the walls, cell and metal beams. Iron groaned and shrieked as it was shredded and dented by his frantic blows. Prowl felt Energon whip across his face and slapped a servo to the liquid.
He’s bleeding! Prowl realized. “Blitzwing stop!”
The floor suddenly shook. Prowl staggered and nearly fell. For a second he thought a blaster had impacted the floor. Then he realized by the change in air flow that Blitzwing had gone to his knees. Sucking, wild breaths filled the air. Blitzwing’s panic was nearly audible. Quickly Prowl dropped down before him and thrust out a servo feeling it smack into the other bot’s faceplate. A cold, cracked monocle was smooth under his touch. The triple changer reeled away at the contact with a snarled cry and crashed backwards to the floor intakes heaving. Leaping on him the ninja gripped his much bigger servo’s that dwarfed his tan ones.
“Listen to me Blitzwing! I will get these stasis cuffs off of you as soon as we’re clear! But right now we have to move. Go, now!”
The bigger bot shook uncontrollably for a second then suddenly a blaster bolt ripped by their helms. Galvanized into action the triple changer rolled over throwing Prowl beneath him. A bolt licked over Blitzwing’s back making him gasp as it scorched his armor. Hair line cracks appeared. Prowl stiffened unsure what was happening then he felt the triple changer’s massive servos grab him tightly as the bot staggered upright and took off running down the hall. Another bolt scored a direct hit to his back and he staggered but did not fall. Crushed tight against the purple chassis Prowl fought momentarily to get away but gave up quickly realizing Blitzwing was shielding him. Instead he aided the hold by clamping his fingers tight into niches of the tan and purple armor. Vibrations skidded through his black body from the fast, heavy ped falls of Blitzwing. The bot was dashing down corridor after hall and turning so sharply they nearly fell. Beneath his servo’s Prowl could feel the other bots chassis heave as his intakes struggled. The triple changer didn’t slow. A wall near exploded in a hail of metal shrapnel. Pieces screeched as they gorged over the tan armor. Blitzwing screamed and hit the floor in a ragged roll.
“Hang on!” he yelled.
Prowl grimly tightened his grip.
Blitzwing leapt upwards flying through the air as he twisted mid-jump and landed in a crouch skidding backwards. The noise of guns locking into place echoed out followed by the whoosh of them firing. The rooms temp dropped hard and the crackle of ice spreading over the walls sounded. Dulled blaster bolts thoomed against the ice barrier. Even as they did Blitzwing was turning and tearing away back down the hall. His flying servo’s caught a chunk of concrete and ripped it loose from the wall. He threw it backwards and there was the clang of it colliding with a purser that had taken a side hall to skirt the ice wall. Then the triple changer just ran. His large servos moved again to hold Prowl tight against him as a few stray blaster bolts collided with his back. A nasty shattering sound rang out. Blitzwing stumbled with a choked scream. Hitting the ground with an earth shaking thoom the triple changer threw Prowl into the air to keep him clear of being crushed. The ninja felt himself go air born and flipped to grab and throw a golden star behind him. A cry of a pursuer being hit rewarded him. He hit the earth in a crouch and caught his star as it flew back to him.
“Blitzwing!” he yelled. “You have to get up!”
“I…I’m trying,” the triple changer’s voice was broken.
Worried Prowl ran to the other’s side and laid a servo on one much large forearm. The bots systems were running hard and fast. Heat literally radiated form the tan, metal armor.
“Blitzwing, what’s wrong?” Prowl demanded.
“My back, a veapon struck me in my back.” Blitzwing gasped. His words were followed by the dripping of energon as it fell from his mouth.
Prowl’s servo’s fled over the broad tan armor. A sharp intake sucked into him as he felt the extend of the damage. There was a ragged rip in the back of one shoulder and both wings were mauled. Everything was sticky with energon and it was running in streams down the back of Blitzwing’s legs.
“How were you able to run?” Prowl gasped.
“I vad to,” Blitzwing answered voice sounding strained.
Prowl’s head turned as he heard the sound of the pursuers chopping at the icy barrier a ways behind them. It would not hold them at bay long. “We have to get out of here, how much further?”
“Not var down vat tunnel and vat other turns.” Blitzwing started to move, dragging himself painfully to his servo’s and knees. A choked groan escaped him and for a moment Prowl thought he would fall back. Amazingly though he managed to scramble to his peds and supported himself heavily against the wall.
Prowl retrieved both of his throwing stars. “You carried me, now it’s my tur to help you. Go at your own pace. I will hold these bots off if they catch up to us.”
Blitzwing was panting hard yet despite this Prowl heard the bot start to limp off down the hall. Backing up at the same pace Prowl turned his head slowly left and right listening hard and feeling the wind against his faceplates. It tickled across his visor and he felt it even more keenly. A large bulk cut the wind off and he threw. The bot released a short shocked cry and fell the golden disk buried in his throat. Prowl ran up and yanked it free before retreating back to back with Blitzwing. Suddenly he realized that the path they were following was taking a steep slope downwards. He stopped short and spoke.
“Blitzwing, this path is not leading us out, it’s leading us down!”
“I know, vis is zhe vay out. Ve go veeper and collapse zhe entrance. Ve escape from zere.” Blitzwing was gasping harder.
Prowl fell silent. The bot spoke with such assurance that it was impossible to not believe that he knew what he was doing. The ground under his peds fell away even more and soon the air flow began to feel thicker against his visor. Then the ped falls of Blitzwing changed in note to the crunching of boots against gravel and discarded rock. Prowl shoved out an arm and felt the edge of what seemed a mine shaft under his servo.
“Blitzwing?”
“Ve’re zere, break zhe entrance. So zhey can’t follow vus!” Blitzwing’s voice was right above his head and prowl could feel the heat of the other’s armor near his back.
“Right,” Prowl crouched then exploded towards the upper part of the support frame. It crunched under the barrage of kicks he waged against it. Nearby him he could hear the shattering and bending as Blitzwing battered his clenched, cuffed servo’s against the other side. In seconds the entire thing groaned before it crumbled in a downfall of rock and iron. Dust exploded into the air. Servo’s seized Prowl and whisked him up into the air as Blitzwing seized the smaller mech and took a running dash to keep from being struck by the debris. As they finished falling he turned and fired a heavy coating of ice across it all freezing everything in place. Only when everything was secured did he collapse. Going to his knees with a thoom the triple changer cried out in pain on his servo’s and knees. Prowl slipped form his grasp and hit the ground under the massive purple chassis.
“Blitzwing!”
The bot groaned again and fell to the ground faceplate pressed to the cold rock as his intakes struggled. “Prowl….”
“Easy, stay still. I need to patch you up.” Prowl shifted around until he found could reach the other mec’s back. Quickly he thought back on the teachings Yoketron had given him regarding healing. Then got to work. Time slipped by. He barely heard their pursuers pounding against the collapsed stone and ice trying to get in. For a moment it seemed they were succeeding but Blitzwing dragged his chassis off the ground and fired another icy blast over the spot. It was a long while later that Prowl finished. Using his stars he’d pried away the sharp pieces of metal causing the most damage and sealed everything using repair supplies from a kit he always carried. As he did he smiled briefly. Thank you Yoketron for berating me till I carried one.  At last he moved around to lay a hand on Blitzwing’s faceplate.
“I’m finished. Does it hurt a great deal?”
“No,” Blitzwing’s voice was still shaken.
Determining to distract the triple changer Prowl settled down by his helm and continued talking. “Why did you help me?”
“Vhy did you velp me?” Blitzwing countered.
Prowl briefly smiled again. “Good question, because you could help me.”
“Vhat is vhy I velped you,” Blitzwing rolled slowly onto his side with a faint moan before he curled up in on himself.
“Recharge Blitzwing. It will give your repair systems a chance to kick in and fully seal up that hole in your back. I will keep watch.” Prowl instructed.
Blitzwing made a faint whimper in reply. It was all he could manage before his systems shut down into recharge.
